Studio Policies

The following policies are intended to promote effective operations of our studio, and more importantly, ensure that all students are treated fairly.

Lessons are arranged over twelve months and are divided into 12 equal payments. The Studio will be closed Thanksgiving Monday, one week during the Christmas holidays, March Break, Good Friday and Victoria Day. There are no make-up lessons given for these holidays.   The Studio will be open on Easter Monday. Lessons cancelled by the student (parent/guardian) on these days are considered a forfeit lesson. All charges for monthly lessons will be invoiced on the 1st of each month.  Post-dated cheques and pre-authorized Master Card or Visa payments are preferred, although we do accept cash and debit. Any payments made after the 10th of the month will incur a $10.00 charge.  Please fill out the attached form to authorize a monthly payment.  Additional half hour or hour lessons may be purchased and arranged according to the teacher’s schedule.    NSF payments incur a $40 fee.

Missed Lesson Policy

Cancellations must be made by phone or email with 24 hours notice.  Due to our current schedule, make-up lessons will be arranged by the studio receptionist, during open cancellation times.  Make-up lessons cannot be banked for a later time of your choosing.  We do not give any credits or refunds. We will make three attempts to re-book the missed lesson, after which, the lesson will be deemed forfeited.  If a group class lesson is missed, the student may attend a similar group lesson, if available within the same session for a make-up.  If a class is missed due to illness or family emergency or otherwise, the lesson is forfeited. In the rare case that cancellations are initiated by the Studio, lessons will be made-up at a time arranged by the Studio.

Registering and Withdrawing from Lessons

Lesson times are booked on a first-come-first-serve basis with pre-payment required. The studio does not “HOLD” lesson times for consideration.  If for any reason the child (parent/guardian) decides to stop lessons, the studio must receive two weeks’ notice before the end of the month; a monthly fee will be incurred in not doing so. Permanent time slot changes are permissible if needed.
